Do You need Intensive Counseling

Intensive Counseling at Texas Marriage Retreat the intensive program will address your needs around a variety of topics including: Communication, resolving conflict, infidelity, intimacy , sexual issues, financial budgeting, blended families, listening skills, family of origin concerns, children, and career conflicts. Most couples that attend an Intensive are experiencing a significant amount of marital distress. Many of these couples have already started the divorce process.

What Intensive Counseling Would look like

~ flexible sessions. 14 hours of personalized counseling

Meet and Greet Friday

Start with a 2 hour session where we will establish goals for the weekend and begin to cover results from your assessments. This is a flexible session that we can discuss what arrival time works for you.

Saturday 9-4:30 pm

After breakfast we begin the intensive work of the weekend. The morning will include; the individual session, each partner will meet with a therapist to work on individual blocks that may prevent your moving forward to a more satisfying relationship. Lunch will be Noon to 1:30 and is your chance to sample some of the local fare. Ask us for a restaurant guide. During Lunch, your therapists will process progress made and furthermore the road map for the afternoon session.

1:30-4:30 pm This will be time that is spent working on issues from the morning sessions. During thissession, you should gain further insight into how to take your relationship to where youwant it to go. Saturday evening is yours to enjoy time together and to experience either more of Weatherford’s charm or make a trip into Fort Worth. Ask us for a list of activities and/or restaurants.

Sunday 9-4:30 pm We will begin again after breakfast and continue working on the goals that were developed on Friday and honed on Saturday. Today, you will begin to see what your future can look like. We will work on developing skills around how to have difficultdiscussions in order to continue your new feelings of connectedness. Lunch will again be from Noon to 1:30 and is another chance to sample regional cuisine. After lunch, the final pieces will come together in helping you repair past hurts and practicea new way of interacting together.
